The INDCs and climate impacts

What have we achieved so far?

The Paris pledges (INDCs) so far constitute a good start in deviating from the emissions growth trajectory that we’re currently on. Assuming that after 2030, global GHG emissions do not rise above the 2030 level implied by the sum total of the pledges, then these pledges would themselves lead to the avoidance of significant adverse climate change impacts on humans, the economy and the environment.
